Brand New 2010 Karts!
Pheww!!! Blimey, where to start with this one?
The March 6th Open Race, was the most closely contested Open for many a month! The quality of driving, and performance of the karts had to be seen to be believed!
The top drivers where separated by milliseconds the whole event! At one point, it was unsure as to whether they were actually glued together!
The 1st outing for the 2010 season karts was welcomed with dry skies, and fast racing. A few old faces came out of the woodwork, to make a great race.
During the race 6 drivers went sub one minute, with the new lap record been set by Lewis Walker at a scorching time of 59.125 (which incidentally is 2 thousands of a second behind the 2009 all time lap record!)
Earlier in the day, during a practice lap, Lewis also set the 1000M Bridge record with a time of 50.245).
Top drivers on the day were Pete Rush in 1st place, Ben in 2nd, and lewis bringing it home in 3rd!
